User account

Once you’re arrived in the department you can obtain a computer account which allow you to access to:

  • a mail box (more info).
  • storage spaces (more info).
  • private web space dedicated to professional publication (on explicit request at the IT platform - more info).
  • several softwares.

The process is to fulfil the account request form and the CNIL document and to read the computer charter of the ENS (to keep for you), then to give them to Béatrice Sissan (department secretariat, garden floor). These documents are available here:

You’re owner and in charge of your private space. Following computer laws, your account is protected by a password pre-established on your request form. It’s desirable that you change it according to the security password norms by following this link.

A little explanation on these accounts

Computer accounts are created in a numerical directory. The directory protocol is known as LDAP which is a standard protocol used to manage directory, that is to say access to databases on network users through the TCP/IP protocol.
